Description: #8710 3/4" Silver Transfer Trim Iron On Fabric. Scotchlite Reflective Transfer Film is composed of wide angle, exposed retro reflective lenses bonded to a heat activated polyurethane adhesive.

Application:  recommended lamination temperatures. Application to fabrics: 1. Remove the plastic liner, exposing the dry adhesive (do not remove the paper carrier). 2. Place on substrate with adhesive side down, apply heat 325-375 F (163-190 C) and pressure, with dwell time of 10-20 seconds and pressure. 3. Allow the application to cool before removing the paper carrier. For best results, apply to light and medium weight fabrics. Application on fabrics is best achieved over a flat surface where uniform heat and pressure can be applied. Avoid applying over seams. Cutting: Die-cutting is recommended, although film can also be hand-cut, guillotined, kiss-cut or plotter cut. NOTE: Whenever two or more pieces of any fabric are used together on a single surface or as a set, they should be matched to assure uniform day color and nighttime reflectivity. NOTE: The protective white paper liner should not be used as the carrier when applying plotter cut and weeded images: the exposed liner may adhere to certain fabrics at recommended lamination temperatures. Care:  Care guidance, in order of preference: For best retention of brightness 1. Wash: Machine wash warm, 40 C (105 F) 2. Bleach: Only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Dry: Tumble dry low Iron: Use cool iron, 110 C (230 F) Dry Clean: Dry-clean, normal cycle. NOTE: Repeated dry cleaning may cause slight stiffening, but the reflectivity will not be affected.

Cautions:  Handling precautions for Hot and Humid Environments: Scotchlite silver transfer film contains an aluminium layer as part of its construction. Blemishing of this aluminium layer can occur if the paper carrier is removed and the front surface of the product has direct contact from hands during application and is then exposed to hot and humid conditions, greater than 80 degrees F and greater than 70% relative humidity, for a period of weeks. These blemished do not affect the performance of the product. While use of Scotchlite reflective material does greatly enhance visibility, no reflective material can guarantee absolute visibility, particularly in adverse weather conditions. Note that while many fabrics may be used as lamination substrates, nylon and fabrics treated with a durable water repellent (DWR) finish are difficult to adhere to and are not recommended. Note also that this product has a recommended shelf life of one year, and should be stored in a cool dry area. Rolls should be stored on a rod pipe through the core. Cut sheets may be stored flat.

reflective when viewed at wide entrance angles. The effective performance life of the film is such that it should retain good day color and nighttime reflectivity for the normal use life of the garment to which it is applied. Performance can vary depending upon actual use, exposure conditions and maintenance.
